Are there any Age or Height Restrictions?
You
must be at least 13 years old and able to ride an adult-sized bicycle of which we have ladies’ and men’s versions
(may be suitable for younger experienced riders if more than 150cm/5 feet tall - please phone or email us). There is no upper
age limit and past customers have included those well into their 60s.
How often does the Central London Bicycle Tour run in 2009?

How long do the bicycle tours last?
The whole experience lasts around three and a half hours
including set-up and rest stops.
Do you have Liability Insurance?
Yes.
A full Tour Operators Public Liability Insurance Policy is in place.
Do I need to be physically fit?
Virtually anyone can do the tour. It is over flat ground
most of the time and there are plenty of rest stops.
What if it rains?
The tours run, whatever the weather.
Do I need to be able to ride a bicycle? What are the bicycles like?
Yes. You must be able to control an adult sized bicycle.
Our bicycles are simple to operate three-gear models with a ladies' and a gent's version.
Do you do bicycle tours in other languages?
All advertised tours are conducted in English. Please contact
us if you have a group wishing to do a special foreign language tour.
Do we go inside any of the buildings?
Time allows only external views.
What clothing and footwear should I wear?
You need comfortable clothing and flat shoes. Bear in mind
that it may rain at times and that any wind may have a chilling effect whilst you are riding.
Does Lord Jolly supply helmets?
Yes and we strongly recommend that you use them.
Can I bring my own bicycle?
Yes if you wish but the tour cost will be the same.
How big is the group for the Central London Bicycle Tour?
We will run the tour for just one person or can take a maximum of
eighteen. Each tour has a dedicated guide.
Should I pre-book or do I just turn up?
Please email us or phone us on 07525 662 164 to secure a
place in advance or otherwise just turn up (subject to availability)
Is
it dangerous on the roads?
Most of the time is spent on cycle paths. When
we are on the road, the guide will provide instructions on how to stay safe.
Can I use my credit card?
No, we only accept cash in Pounds Sterling, Euros or US Dollars. There is an ATM at our
meeting place which accepts local and international credit and debit cards.
The tour lasts half a day. What should I do with the rest of my
day?
The London Eye, The Imperial War Museum, The Royal Festival Hall, The Houses of Parlaiment,
Westminster Abbey, The Museum of the Moving Image and The Tate Modern Gallery are all 5-15 minutes walk away. There
are also plenty of places to eat nearby.
